  • Identifying clients unsuitable for counselling

Students will be required to carry out an assessment between workshops, for which they will receive supervision during the course.

Trainers:

Penny Spearman

Having supervised client assessors for 7 years, Penny draws on 40 years of experience as an assessor and lecturer in social work, as deputy head of counselling at WPF and as a therapist in mental health.

Jan Irwin

Jan is a BACP Accredited Counsellor and qualified Supervisor. Having worked as an assessor for a number of years, Jan is Counselling Manager, including the Assessment Team, at Chichester Counselling Services. She also works in private practice, including work with EAP’s
