How we can help you:

Counselling is an effective way of helping people in a safe confidential manner.  People seeking help can examine their deeper feelings and discover for themselves new outlooks on life, and be assisted to make difficult choices for themselves.  It can also result in discovery of new and different ways of responding to the pressures of day to day living and the manner in which personal relationships work.

To book an appointment to see if counselling is suitable for you,
telephone us on 01243 789200.

Our service offers:

  • A prompt initial appointment
  • Counselling on a weekly basis in Chichester in a secure, confidential setting
    • The counselling will be either open-ended where no fixed date is set for ending the counselling
    • or brief/time-limited where we agree together to a fixed number of sessions – usually 6 or to 12
    • or Couple Counselling – open ended or brief
    • Counselling at a reasonable cost, depending upon financial circumstances – no one is denied help because of lack of money
    • Professional psychodynamic counselling for individuals and systemic & psychodynamic counselling for couples
    • A team of trained counsellors or counsellors in training working under regular and professional supervision
    • People thinking about counselling may be:
  • Worried about a relative or children within the family

Coming to Counselling:

As a first step, make an appointment to come along and meet an experienced counselling assessor.  They will listen to what you are wanting and can tell you about the resources that CCS can offer.  Regular sessions can be agreed with a selected counsellor.  These are arranged on a mutually convenient weekly basis and may be held during the day, or the evening.

Just call our office on 01243 789200 to book an initial consultation.

Counselling Contributions.

CCS relies on client contributions and fund-raising in order to provide its service.   Some of our services are charged at full-cost.   For our standard counselling service, we ask that clients consider a contribution of between £15 and £60 per session.  As a charity, however, we undertake to provide this service to all clients, regardless of their ability to pay, or willingness to make a donation.   As client donations are voluntary, they may be eligible for Gift-Aid.

Contracts with employers.

CCS works with employers and health insurance companies to provide counselling for their employees or clients (contact us to discuss).  CCS also welcomes NHS and Social Services funding for individual clients.
